Position Summary: Radiation Physicist ensures the quality of care in the use of radiation-producing sources and imaging equipment and the protection of patients and staff from radiation.Calibrates all radiation therapy equipment, conducts X-ray machine performance surveys and implements procedures to ensure quality control for electronic imaging devices.The Radiation Physicist recommends radiation safety procedures and informs staff in radiation safety practices.Provides Physic support for instrument use and safety, dosimetry and the use of radiation sources/machines in the treatment of cancer patients.
- 2 years clinical experience in Radiation Physics and treatment planning experience
- High school diploma
- Master of Science degree in Radiological Physics
- Board Certified, strongly preferred.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS)
