The ideal candidate will have the following background and experience:
- Graduate of an accredited radiation therapy program.
- Minimum five years actively practicing as an RTT.
- ARRT certification required.
- Valid state license for radiation therapy required.
- Position is considering all levels of experience
- May be required to perform the duties of radiation therapist, mold technician and basic Dosimetry duties in order to maintain a high quality care environment. Assists in supervision of simulation therapists, radiation therapists and mold technicians in order to effectively deliver a high quality radiation therapy treatment course for each patient presented. Supports and adheres to the US Oncology Compliance Program, to include the Code of Ethics and Business Standards.
-Assists with interviewing, hiring, and training designated employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; and rewarding and disciplining employees.
-Serves as mentor to employees in radiation oncology department.
-Responsible for the instruction of newly hired radiation staff and radiation therapy students on all equipment applicable.
-Maintains patient appointment schedule and submits correct billing information.
-Accurately delivers and records radiation therapy treatments under the direction of a radiation oncologist.
-May assist in chart audits and QA procedures.
-May participate in development of QA procedures.
-Accurately interprets a computerized treatment plan.
-Accurately cuts blocks and makes custom molds.
-Accurately enters and maintains patient treatment parameters into the electronic medical record.
-Accurately completes simple mu calculation.
-May review and amend patient billing for accuracy.
-Maintains a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
