Description
PRIMARY PURPOSE: Under the direction of the Chairman of the Department of Imaging Services, and the supervision of the department manager, performs radiographic procedures on pediatric, adult and geriatric patients at a technical level not requiring constant supervision of technical detail. Trains all end users on PACS user interface. Acts as the first responder on site for PACS, CR, and DR. Performs a variety of technical procedures that requires independent judgment, ingenuity and initiative in applying ionizing radiation for a radiologic diagnosis. Assumes responsibility for designated areas or procedures as required. Radiologic Technologist III wil have their CRT certification plus two or more of the following modalities:
Computed Tomography
Diagnostic /Vascular Ultrasound
Magnetic Resonance
Fluoroscopy
Interventional Radiography
Cardiac Catherization
Quality Assurance
Qualifications
Position Requirements:
Education: Graduate of an approved school of Radiologic Technology required. Must be certified by the California Department of Health Services as a Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT). National Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist preferred (ARRT). Fluoroscopy permit preferred, and additional certification or equal work experience (RHF). Must have current BLS and CPR certification.
Knowledge: Highly motivated and organized individuals who can balance patient care, productivity and radiation safety. Should demonstrate leadership skills.
Experience: Must have a minimum of 5 years experience
