The Flower Mound Emergency Centerprovides the same stat-of-the-art, life-saving resources as a hospital-basedemergency room. It is close to home andhas a minimal wait time. The 24 hourfreestanding ER also has 12 private rooms (including pediatric and women’shealth emergency rooms), advanced testing and imaging technology and apharmacist on staff. It is owned andoperated by the Medical City Lewisville, a Magnet facility.

Position Summary & Responsibilities:
The Registered Nurse – Charge Nurse – Emergency Roomdirects shift to shift activities;provides leadership and direction in accordance with organizational anddepartment goals and philosophy; provides support to departmental managementteam; assists with staff scheduling; participates in on-call as determined bymanagement team.
Responsible for shift to shiftactivities; provides leadership and direction to departmental staff; assignsand follows up with staff regarding patient care, departmental flow andinteracts in leadership capacity with other departments; intervenes in patient,customer complaints/questions and resolves or refers to management teampromptly; participates in direct patientcare/assists departmental staff as needed; coordinates patient flow, processesintradepartmental and utilizes nursing supervisor for assistance with ancillaryservices. Provides patient care asneeded for patient types, which include but are not limited to adolescent,adult, and geriatric populations.
