Reporting to the Clinical Reimbursement Manager, the Registered Nurse Assessment Coordinator is responsible for coordinating resident care through completion of the MDS/RAI process in accordance with state and federal regulations. Oversight of the Restorative Nursing Program for designated unit(s) also required with this position.
Must be a graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
Registered Nurse with current PA licensure required.
Minimum of two (2) years general nursing experience required.
Minimum of two (2) years of long-term care experience required.
Minimum of two (2) years utilization review/quality assessment experience required.
30% Verifies and completes MDS, care plans, CAAs and Quarterly Reviews.
Assures completeness of entire RAI process.
Attends meetings as necessary.
Reviews ADL scores for accuracy. Responsible for resident assessment schedule of all payer sources.
Maintains a thorough comprehension of Medicaid and Medicare requirements, state and federal regulations, and updated interpretation per continuing education and in-services.
Initiates and leads team conferences in development of individualized nursing care plans.
Assists residents as assigned during meals in main dining room.
Assists with or institutes emergency measures for sudden adverse developments in patients.
Coordinates Restorative Nursing Program for assigned unit including initial assessment and program reviews/adjustments. Provides supervision of on unit Restorative Nurse Aide(s) as assigned. Ensures program interventions are performed according to care plan.
