About the Job
- Travel to see patients in private residences for infusion therapies.
- Also provide infusion services utilizing central or peripheral line in our Ambulatory Infusion Suites.
- Assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care for the patient utilizing the interdisciplinary care team including Nursing, Pharmacy, Nutrition and Administrative Support Caregivers.
- Admit and educate patients/caregivers in all infusion therapies.
- Demonstrate critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Utilize software programs for the maintenance of patient records and communication with team members.
- Practice in accordance with Providence Infusion and Pharmacy Services’ philosophy, mission and code of conduct.
- Practice nursing by following Providence Infusion’s policies and procedures and the Washington State Nurse Practice Act.
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in Washington State
- Other RN licensure in states other than Washington maybe required within 120 days of hire based on service locations and geographic focus
- Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification
- Current Washington State driver’s license
- Proof of vehicle insurance
- 1 year of experience in acute care nursing
- Current RN licensure in Idaho, Oregon and/or Montana
- Home health and infusion experience
- Recent hands-on experience with peripherally inserted central catheter (PICC) lines, ports, venipuncture, and various various central venous access devices (CVAD)
- General home care knowledge and skill
- Thorough knowledge of, and proficiency in, nursing principles and practice of intravenous (IV) therapy
