Responsible for the delivery of patient care through the nursing process of assessment, diagnosing, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Responsible for directing and coordinating all nursing care for patients based on established clinical nursing practice standards. Collaborates with other professional disciplines to ensure effective and efficient care delivery and the achievement of desired patient outcomes. Serves in the resource nurse role when oriented and as directed. Supports the health system's vision and mission. Utilizes knowledge of patient's age and cultural diversity into the provision of patient care. Contributes to the provision of quality nursing care through performance improvement techniques that demonstrate positive outcomes in patient care.
Required Minimum Education: Graduate of an accredited/approved school of nursing: Baccalaureate degree in nursing is preferred;
Required Minimum Licensure/Certification: Current active license as a registered nurse in the State of Georgia; current BLS card from the American Heart Association on the first day of employment in the position. Hospice nursing certification preferred.
Required Minimum Experience: at least two years of acute care experience as an RN preferred.
Required Minimum Skills: Ability to read write and speak the English language, optimize the use of technology to support clinical care and holds basic computer skills; Strong interpersonal, collaborative skills along with customer service skills required; Ability to function in a fast paced environment and respond to emergencies in using a decisive, composed and respectful manner; Possess excellent time management skills; practices nursing using evidence and analytical skills along with possessing strong critical thinking skills. Work collaboratively as a member of an interdisciplinary team.
