Registered Nurse (RN) Hospital - Interventional Radiology
Part-time RN position available in our Interventional Radiology Department
48 hours per two weeks; 0.6 FTE
8 hour day shifts with rotating start times of 6:45am, 7:15am, 7:45am, 8:00am, 8:30 am
Monday through Friday with occasional call coverage required during nights and weekends.
30 minute response time for call is required.
Weeknight call from 5:00 pm to 7:30 am is assigned approximately once per two week period.
Weekend call from Friday 5:00 pm to Monday 7:30 am is assigned approximately once every 10 weeks.
Previous RN experience providing sedation and ACLS certification is desired for this role.
The registered nurse (RN) focuses on the health and wellness of individuals, families and populations in collaboration with other health care professionals by incorporating evidence-based practice in the management of acute illness, chronic disease, disability, and end-of-life care. The RN utilizes the nursing process and aligns practice with organizational policies, professional nursing standards and regulatory practice acts.
Assessment: Systematically and holistically assesses the patient’s physiological, emotional, sociocultural, spiritual, and financial status while considering lifestyle preferences and learning needs.
Planning: Collaborates with patients, families, and health care professionals to develop a patient-centered plan of care to promote health and optimize wellness.
Intervention: Provides competent and innovative patient care and education based on patient complexity, acuity, and nursing judgment within a culture of caring and safety.
Documentation: Documents nursing assessment, planning, interventions, implementation, and patient/family response.
Evaluation: Determines patient's progress toward achieving goal(s), and revises plan of care in collaboration with patient/family as needed.
Delegation and Supervision: The RN delegates, supervises and evaluates the effectiveness of tasks performed by Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) or Unlicensed Assistive Personnel (UAP) who have the knowledge and skill to perform the task, taking into consideration the following:

|Education and Experience:|
|Required||Associate degree in Nursing from an accredited college of nursing, as recognized by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) or Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE). Registered nurses without a baccalaureate degree will be required to get a Bachelor's degree in Nursing from an accredited nursing program (ACEN or CCNE) within six years of hire date. Graduates from nursing programs which are not accredited by ACEN or CCNE, must have at least one year of recent RN experience from an applicable care setting. |
