The Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit (IRU) has an immediate opening for an experienced GA Licensed Registered Nurse (RN), with the responsibility of assisting individuals with a disability and/or chronic illness, to attain and maintain maximum functional skills.
The Rehabilitation staff nurse develops goals in collaboration with patients, their families and the Rehab team to focus on disease management / prevention, gaining functional independence and encouraging socialization with others. The RN participates in the interdisciplinary team process at team conferences and meetings, as well as provides input in team decision-making.
The award-winning Rehab team at Kennestone Regional Medical Center is CARF/ Stroke Specialty accredited in a Level II trauma facility and is an active member of the Neuroscience service line.
Required Minimum Education: Graduate of an accredited/approved school of nursing: Baccalaureate degree in nursing (BSN) from an accredited school of nursing preferred.
Required Minimum Licensure/Certification: Current/active license as a registered nurse in the State of Georgia; Must have a current BLS card from the American Heart Association on the first day of employment in position. National certification in area of specialty preferred.
Required Minimum Experience: Experience with direct patient care preferred.
