Working in close collaboration with the Trauma MedicalDirector and Director of Trauma Services to ensure compliance with traumastandards and guidelines, the Trauma PI/IP Coordinator is responsible for thecoordination and facilitation of the Trauma Performance Improvement and PatientSafety program, which encompasses all areas and disciplines of the hospitalthat participate in the care of admitted injured patients. Providescoordination and facilitation of performance improvement data collection,analysis, trending, and benchmarking of data and outcomes.
This position isalso responsible for improving trauma care both within the organization and theregion, promoting fiscal responsibility, and optimizing patient and family outcomes.This clinician is a key component in educating the community regarding trauma,safety, and injury prevention. Must facilitate an organized and effectiveapproach to injury prevention, and prioritize those efforts based on localtrauma registry and epidemiologic data.
