The company is headquartered in New York City with offices in London, Atlanta, Poughkeepsie, NY, and Chennai, India. We have a diverse client base including CMBS originators, investment banks, B-piece buyers, and equity investors.
The Credit Underwriting Division of Spring11 is currently seeking a Credit Borrower Analyst to join their growing team. This person would be responsible for providing detailed and systematic analysis for our lenders the organization and cataloging of transaction documents as well as summarizing components of partnership agreements. This person should be very detail oriented, handle pressure/tight deadlines well and have a strong background in legal documents.
Responsibilities: Review sponsor documentation to determine if it meets the Lender's criteria
Determine if REO values and esoteric business values are accurately valued
Notify client if the sponsor does not meet the Lenders requirements
Prepare credit/litigation summaries on all qualifying subjects for due diligence
Review 3rd party research and verify any open litigation or pending liens and judgment information
Determine if litigation found has to be reported or if litigation requires follow up
Communicate with sponsor or sponsor's attorney in obtaining appropriate level of documentation
Review borrower credit and KYC policies to determine conformance with industry and regulatory standards
Conduct full scope reviews of credit portfolios, and write reports of conclusions and recommendations emanating from the reviews
Analyze transactions, reports and financial information for potential fraud risks
Prepare client presentations and deliverables
Qualifications: You have 7+ years of experience in credit in an underwriting, adjudication capacity, or as a bank examiner focused on wholesale credit
Bachelor's degree or higher, ideally in a legal or finance-related field of study such as Political Science, Legal Studies, Economics, Finance, or Mathematics
Requires strong analytical and quantitative skills; Independent worker with the ability to conduct research & resolve complex problems
Comprehensive understanding of SNC process, US regulatory ratings and regulatory examination process and practices is required
In-depth knowledge of lending products
A good understanding of counterparty credit risk
You are a solid negotiator and have strong oral and written communication skills
You are able to handle a significant and diverse workload
