Duties: Research Analyst will support the evaluation and development of next generation Air Missile Defense technologies concepts.
1.Perform analytical studies to evaluate the capacity of feasible next generation concepts, technologies, and systems in the Ballistic Missile Defense Electronic Warfare domain areas. Execute large-scale high-fidelity models simulations in support of analytical studies.
2.Participate in or propose new analyses or development projects that address capability gaps in current or proposed systems.
3.Collaborate with software development engineers to implement new algorithms in current modeling tools. Propose ideas for new modeling tools as necessary.
4.Present results of analyses to technical staff, management, and sponsors.
- PhD in Physics, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
- 1 - 3 years of relevant technical experience.
- Proficiency in data analysis and tools such as MATLAB, Python, or equivalent.
- Knowledge of C++. Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
Desired Qualifications: Experience working with sensor data (IR and/or RF) and related phenomenology strongly desired. Familiarity with probability theory strongly desired. Knowledge of the Ballistic Missile Defense or Electronic Warfare domain areas. Prior experience executing large-scale models simulations. Familiarity with Monte Carlo methods. Knowledge of XML.
Special Working Conditions: 5% travel, working in closed areas.
