Lab tech will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of the research laboratory under the direction of the principal investigator. Duties include managing all the procedures including performing specialized histological, histochemical and neurochemical procedures, tissue preparation for neurochemical analysis, microtomy, staining and preparation of specimens for light microscopy and immunohistochemistry.
He/She will be responsible for the maintenance of equipment; ordering of appropriate supplies for the day-to-day operation of the laboratory.
He/She will assist with maintaining animal colonies, genotyping transgenic mice, surgical procedures, behavior tests and monitoring all animal experiments and therapeutic trials.
He/She will perform data collection and computerized image analysis.
Bachelor's degree and 1-3 years' experience required.
