DescriptionThe Respiratory Care Practitioner is responsiblefor pulmonary care as directed by the patients’ Primary Consulting Physician,appropriate to the ages and needs of the patient population served. He/she isaccountable for the assignment, intervention, monitoring, and treating patientswith pulmonary complications. He/she will assure that the equipment; suppliesand services provided are appropriate to the age of the patient from neonatethrough geriatric. The CertifiedRespiratory Care Practitioner is accountable for the assessment, intervention,monitoring and treating of patients with pulmonary complications.
Certified to practice as a Respiratory Care Practitionerby the Kentucky Board of Respiratory Care and CPR certification are required. Aof minimum of one-year experience in respiratory care is preferred.Incumbent must be able to use the HospitalInformation Systems and computerized microprocessor types of equipment.
