Sr. Manager Retail Store Operations
The Store Manager is responsible for the overall operations of a retail store, including customer service, merchandising store presentation, productivity, profitability, labor management, training and development of staff, and control of expenses and inventory. The Store Manager is accountable for using all available resources (time, materials, and people) to meet store objectives. The Store Manager supervises full and/or part time Assistant Manager(s) and Sales Associate(s).
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
+ Meet or exceed store sales and profit plans/budget. + Manage all aspects of the stores P&L, including sales, margin, expenses and labor. + Lead all aspects of positive engagement with the store employees and customers. + Ensure a consistent, high-level of customer service throughout the store at all times. + Develop customer relationships by collecting and maintaining customer email database and by fostering relationships with key customer groups including Scouts and other service organizations relating to the business. + Monitor store sales performance on a daily, weekly, monthly and year to date basis.Identify problems and solve them effectively. + Organize, supervise and support promotions. Contests and off-site and on-site tent/truckload sales. + Research, identify and execute outside sales events to drive business growth. + Execute store opening and closing procedures.This includes opening/closing registers, performing store closing procedures, ensuring the store is neat, clean and organized for the next day’s business. + Work with the Buyer to maintain optimum supplies of inventory. + Manage accurately retail inventory flow receiving in the Point of Sale (POS) system, item pricing, barcode management, inventory merchandising and stockroom inventory organization. + Manage all agreed upon daily controllable expenses in the areas of payroll and loss prevention in terms of cash and inventory. + Plan workloads and assign schedules on a daily basis. + Ensure store compliance with established security, sales and record keeping procedures and policies. + Maintain attendance and performance records on all employees. + Manager and supervise sale floor merchandising presentation and in-stock position. + Sustain over all neat, clean and organized store on the sales floor, stockroom, office space and bathroom facilities. + Maintain accurate log of hours worked by all employees and report weekly hours to payroll. + Recruit, interview and hire store staff according to Coleman standards of staffing plans. + Train and develop employees to Company standards through coaching and holding accountable to expectations. + Execute projects and tasks and comply with due dates. + Complete employee performance reviews annually as required. Supervise Others: Yes Expected Travel: Up to 10% of the time.
+ A High School Diploma or GED. + A minimum of 3 years proven retail management experience. + Experience with MS Word, Excel, Outlook and Accessprograms. + The ability to process information/merchandise throughthe computer system and POS register system. + The ability to resolve customer issues in a courteous andprofessional manner. + The ability to move quickly to registers or other areasof the store when customer or employee assistance is needed. + Good decision-making skills with the ability to justifydecisions with integrity and foresight. + Excellent time management skills and the ability tofoster a teamwork environment in fulfilling job requirements. + The ability to manage store monies; including cashdrawers, change funds and petty cash funds. + The ability to change store displays and physically moveand reach both high and low items. + The ability to move shelves and assist in moving fixturesif needed. + The ability to assist in loading and unloading, packingand shipping of inventory. + The ability to process paperwork associated withaccounting and store audits. + The ability to read, understand, analyze andproduce/create reports. + The ability to lift up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis. + The ability to be on your feet for long periods of time. + The ability to operate a forklift and pallet jack tounload trucks and move inventory on pallets. + Must be eligible to work in the United States for anyemployer.
+ Some college or A Bachelor’s degree in a field related tomanufacturing (e.g. engineering, business, management).
