Per Diem RN needed for Medicine Progressive Care Unit
This is a 24-bed medical progressive care unit that has recently expanded and relocated to a newly renovated area. Each of the newly renovated rooms have state-of-the-art equipment and promote efficiency and excellence in patient care. This unit receives patients with a wide range of medical and pulmonary diagnoses and has the capability to provide care for up to six vented patients.
For per diem, we're seeking candidates with ACLS certification, ventilator experience, and cardiac rhythm interpretation.
The MPCU has received the Silver-level Beacon Award for Excellence designated by the American Association of Critical Care Nurses (AACN) The AACN created the Beacon designation to recognize individual units that have set a path to excellence in an effort to highlight critical care units that distinguish themselves in every facet of patient care. Recipients of a Beacon designation demonstrate excellence in sustained unit performance and patient outcomes.
This is a per diem / at will position that requires you to work a minimum of 12 hours every two weeks, and one summer and one winter holiday each year. Flexible self-scheduling to meet the needs of unit and employee. There are no benefits associated with this position.
Requires graduation for a state-accredited school of professional nursing and at least one year of RN work experience. Must be licensed to practice as a registered nurse in the State of North Carolina by the NC Board of Nursing or have a nursing compact license. Also requires a current Healthcare Provider BLS certification.
