Our caring and compassionate professional team of nurses, therapists and other staff provides personalized attention and cost-effective care, allowing over 7,800 patients each year to remain as independent as possible.
The Registered Nurse in Home Health is a Visit Nurse position, responsible for caring for patients across San Diego County. Scripps Health visit Nurses provide direct patient care in the home setting. You will work collaboratively with patient case managers and all members of the interdisciplinary team including physicians, and other internal and external customers to ensure optimum patient care, evaluate patient’s eligibility for services, and initiate patient-specific Plan of Care.
In addition to having strong clinical skills, this is an ideal role for an RN that has solid time management and organizational skills. Nurses are provided a laptop to complete documentation at the point of care. You will have a minimum of 5 – 6 visits per day, with patients 18 years and older.
This is a Full-Time (80 hours per pay period), 10.25 hours, EVENING shift position, with a varied work schedule including coverage every 3rd weekend. Mileage is reimbursed.
Current RN License in the state of California
AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
One year acute care or two years SNF experience.
Fluent knowledge of spoken and written English.
Working knowledge of state and federal Home Care regulations and standards.
Proven ability to utilize a problem solving process and critical thinking skills.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, proven leadership ability, demonstrated time management skills.
Adapts readily to ongoing changes in the health care environment.
