The Registered Nurse (RN) - Long Term Care (LTC) is responsible for the delivery of patient care through the nursing process of assessment, diagnosing, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Responsible for directing and coordinating all nursing care for patients based on established clinical nursing practice standards. Collaborates with other professional disciplines to ensure effective and efficient patient care delivery and the achievement of desired patient outcomes.
Required Licensure: Registered Nurse in the State of Georgia.
Minimum Education: ADN or BSN from an accredited nursing program.
Minimum Experience: Two years in long term care, with preferred experience in quality assurance and/or case management.
Required knowledge, skills and/or training:
General Nursing Orientation, including Meditech documentation; Basic Life Support (BLS); Pharmacology Test; Unit-Specific Competencies; Annual and Bi-Annual Skills Check; Yearly CBL's.
Requires working under stressful conditions at times or working irregular hours. May be required to work rotating shifts, moderate to loud noise environment. Exposure to body fluids. Exposure to infectious diseases. Must be able to interact calmly with complex patient and family issues.
