Reporting to the Chief Nursing Officer, the ED Nursing Manager will oversee a clinical and administrative operations for a full range of Emergency Personnel. Administratively, you will help control the budget and fiscal performance for the Emergency Department. You’ll take center stage in evaluating staff competencies, addressing skill gaps, and working with the necessary business partners to make sure Emergency Services is running smoothly.
As a clinical leader, you will be the accountable for insuring that Emergency Department RNs, Triage and Admitting Nurses, CENs, and support staff are all following best practices and clinical protocol. A major element of the RN Emergency Nursing Manger role will entail assisting in the improvement of, and continually supporting, education initiatives for the Emergency Department. Working with the hospital and health system education department, you’ll develop and execute periodic skills reviews and continuing education workshops on emerging trends in Emergency Nursing.
