Route Driver/Delivery at The Distillata Company

The Distillata Company, a small family-owned company, is looking for a Route/Delivery Driver to work full-time Mondays through Fridays and start ASAP!

Job Description

Route sales/delivery position to deliver water products to both commercial and residential customers in the Greater Cleveland/Akron area. This person will complete the routes of the drivers who are on vacation or complete water delivery orders to customers that have placed special orders.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Drive a Distillata company vehicle in a safe manner to deliver water products to commercial and residential customers.
• Regularly lift and move products that weigh up to 185 lbs, as well as:
• 5 gallon bottle of water weighs 42lbs.
• Bottle water cooler weighs 30lbs
• 1 case of the 1 gallon weighs 48 lbs.
• 1 case of the 2 ½ gallon weighs 40 lbs.
• 1 case of the 16.9 weighs 27 lbs.
• 1 case of the 20oz weighs 33 lbs.
• Follow a predetermined, set driving route every day to deliver products or deliver to a series of special orders (changes every day).
• Promote and sell other Distillata products and services.
• Regularly read maps and respond to specific directions.
• Regularly going up and downs stairs all day with products referenced above.
• Regularly getting in and out of the truck all day.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years experience of driving vans and/or trucks.
• CDL Class B preferred, but not required.
• General knowledge of the Cleveland/Akron area, and ability to read maps and follow specific directions.
• Working experience as a delivery driver or with route sales and delivery duties preferred.
• Good verbal and written communications skills.
• Working experience in a customer service, customer focused position.
• Valid driver's license and safe driving record.
• Must pass DOT physical exam and drug test.

This position works a 40+ hour work week, Monday – Friday. Distillata offers competitive pay, commission based and a comprehensive benefits package.
