This position will manage sales operational standards via supervision of the sales team to maintain product sales objectives. Key functions for this role are to create sales plans, track sales goals, and motivate sales team which will help the reputation and growth of the Morris 4x4 Center brand. The objective of the sales team is to present company merchandise in a way that increases consumer orders to attain the company's financial goals. As a leader of the sales team, this role enables the company to reach and retain customers which affects sales and profit targets.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs.
Oversee day-to-day operations for Sales department
Managing organizational sales by developing a business plan that covers sales, revenue and expense controls.
Monitor KPIs and sales metrics to achieve planned sales goals and implementing necessary adjustments
Setting individual sales targets with the sales team.
Develop and maintain efficient commission structure
Being available for process approvals from sales agents or to resolve escalated sales issues.
Responsible for the ongoing training of sales staff.
Promoting the organization and products.
Act as a source of product and process knowledge for sales team.
Ability to serve as a sales agent for the purpose of sales coverage.
Follow all organization's policies, practices, and procedures.
Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals
Provide leadership to others through example and sharing of knowledge/skill
Perform other duties as assigned
Managing staff by recruiting and training employees, communicating job expectations, and monitoring performance.
All administrative duties associated with management including scheduling staff, approving timecards, commission calculations/adjustments, time-off requests, or disciplinary needs.
After-market automotive knowledge a plus
2 years' experience in a management role; or a minimum of 6 months working within Morris 4x4 Center.
Experience with high volume retail sales
