At Hanna, we put the customer in the center of all we do. The Warehouse Associate is a key role in ensuring our customers receive an accurate, timely delivery of their purchases. Specifically, the Warehouse Associate prepares and processes merchandise according to Hanna procedures while meeting specific production, accuracy and safety standards. This role also maintains and verifies documentation to ensure the accurate and timely flow of merchandise through the distribution center. The Warehouse Associate will rotate through the following functions to meet the needs of the business.
This function preps the orders for those picking the product, by staging the labeled boxes and invoices of each customer ensuring the packaging will meet the size of each order. Requires attention to detail and use of basic computer knowledge to run the order and scanner system. Success is defined by smooth flow of carts and ensuring pickers always have carts available. This function requires walking, standing, bending and basic reach functions.
Examine and inspect packages, and products to ensure that packing specifications are met. This is the final function to catch any errors on the order, and ensure accurate orders are being shipped. If an issue is identified, there repackaging and re-labeling may be required. Conveyor line clearance is expected prior to shift end. This function requires walking, consistent standing, and basic reach functions. Lifting up to 20 pounds may be required.
Retrieves merchandise from the shelves based on number, size, color, quantity, and quality requirements using voice directed headset technology. Picker ensures that customer orders are accurate. Pickers are expected to maintain 100% production standards on an hourly basis. This function requires consistent walking, standing and basic reach functions. Lifting up to 15 pounds may be required.
Scans and packages product to be shipped to retail stores. Requires attention to detail and use of an RF Scanner ensuring the accurate product is being shipped to each store. Scanning should be at 100% production standards and free from error. This function requires consistent walking, standing, and bending. Pushing up to 30 pounds may be required.
Inspects returned merchandise to determine the return category, and how it will be processed. Responsible for distributing returns to proper locations in the distribution center. Specific piece count completion is expected in order to be within daily goal numbers. Basic computer knowledge is required. This function requires standing, bending, basic reach functions and lifting up to 20 pounds.
Weighs and verifies outgoing orders and prepares items for shipment ensuring the correct shipping is applied to the packages to meet customer delivery expectations. Specific carton completion is expected every hour. Basic computer and scanning knowledge required. The function requires consistent standing in one place. Lifting to up 30 pounds may be required.
DC functions are not limited to the mentioned position functions. There are several duties that support successful operations of the DC such as completing Retail Supplies, Tape Machine usage and general flow of the DC.
· Ability to work both independently to perform the tasks of the role, as well as collaborate and support the warehouse team.
· Ability to make accurate and efficient decisions to process an order. Must meet and maintain productivity and accuracy standards.
· Able to maintain positive, professional and constructive communication with team members and management.
· Ability to lift, carry, push, pull, reach for, and grasp merchandise as needed to perform essential functions
· May be required to lift or push up to 30 lbs.
· Continuous physical exertion required, such as walking, standing, bending, and stooping in addition to material handling
· High attention to detail
· Basic computer knowledge
· Must pass Background Check and Drug Test
· Must be 18 years of age or older
Education and Experience:
· Minimal or no educational requirement for this position. A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
· One year of experience is preferred, but not required.
