This position is for Vehtek Systems, Inc., a division of Cosma International. Vehtek Systems, Inc., is a Class A automotive stamping plant located in Wood-Bridge Business Park in Bowling Green, Ohio. Vehtek is part of Cosma International and a Tier 1 supplier for Chrysler, GM, Honda and other automotive manufacturers.
To support manufacturing operations by maintaining, trouble shooting and repairing all facilities and manufacturing equipment in a safe and orderly fashion as directed by the maintenance supervisor.
* Attain safety, quality and productivity goals * Troubleshoot plant facilities and production equipment problems * Maintain and update equipment records, schematics, blueprints and files in orderly fashion * Obtain training for professional development and to stay current on maintenance and safety requirements * Complete all work in accordance with OSHA, NEC, JIC and DNR standards and regulations * Complete correspondence, forms and reports using personal computer and required software * Maintain department repair parts stock and inventory * Attend training as required * Handle confidential information on a regular basis * Encourage safety and housekeeping practices and lead by example * Promote and facilitate Open Door process and Fair Treatment * Participate in Continual Improvement activities * Adhere to customer requirements, Business Operating System and company policies * Perform other duties as assigned
Knowledge and Education
* High school diploma, GED or equivalent experience * Minimum 2 years experience as a machine repair/electrician experience or minimum 4 years experience in a technical service/repair non-trainee/apprentice role * Associate's Degree or Certification in Machine Repair or Electrical preferred * Forklift License required

* The work environment is primarily manufacturing plant and is characterized by temperature extremes; loud noise and considerable tow motor traffic. * The individual must be able to perform all essential functions as appropriate on the plant floor, in meetings, and with employees, management, customers and suppliers. * Job responsibilities include heavy lifting (75 pounds), working at heights of 40 to 60 feet and in confined spaces * Personal tools may be required * Overtime as required.
