PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Must meet state of Michigan certification requirements to teach physical education at the secondary level (MB, MC, or MX endorsement required).
- Must demonstrate ability to connect with students & engage them in learning.
- Must demonstrate ability to assess, plan, and implement instruction.
- Must possess effective communication skills.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT
Minimum starting salary range: $41,294 - $66,933
Salary schedule placement is determined by degree level and number of years teaching experience. Teachers with previous teaching experience will receive one-half step on the schedule for each year of experience up to a maximum of Step 10.
We offer a competitive medical benefit package, $2000 toward the cost of graduate credits, and half of the cost of tuition for up to 18 graduate credits in a content area taught in our Early College program.
Coaching positions are also available beginning in Fall 2021.
