PRIMARY DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide security support to DoD and IC programs. Administers routine aspects of the Department of Defense (DoD), Intelligence Community (IC), and other industrial security programs to ensure compliance with NISPOM and US Government and company security policies and procedures. Completes personnel security processing tasks. Other typical security-related activities include physical access to buildings, rooms, couriering material, issuing access control devices, processing clearances/access requests, packaging classified materials for shipment, creating/maintaining documentation and conducting briefings and debriefings. Monitors security procedures, ensuring compliance with all aspects of the program including personnel, physical and administrative security systems and procedures. Will conduct security training and maintain security education records. Ensures destruction of classified and confidential information in accordance with policies and procedures. Assists in revision of procedures manuals and may interface with outside agencies.
Administers and coordinates DoD and other industrial security programs to ensure compliance with government and company security policies and procedures. Provides guidance and support to staff members concerning all security administrative functions such as personnel security, information and system security, COMSEC, physical security to ensure compliance with standards. Provides administrative security support associated with the receipt, distribution, inventory, reproduction and disposition of classified material. Reviews applications for security clearances prepared by the Security Assistant. May act as Top Secret Control Officer (TSCO) for projects. Administers and maintains physical security procedures for visitor control, employee identification and safeguard of company facilities, equipment, materials and employee property. Develops and conducts security briefings and security education programs. Provides oversight for programs for the protection of classified information as well as propriety information. Prepares, sends, and receives visitor certifications. Investigates losses and security violations and recommends corrective actions. Manages the continuing eligibility program for employees. Periodically inspects the facility to ensure physical security measures. Knowledge of DOD, DOE or other industrial security programs.
EXPERIENCE and TRAINING Required:
Familiarization with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) is preferred.
