About the Job
Job Description As a Sr. Scrum Master, you will be responsible for the scrum master role across multiple teams and help improve our use of the methodology. You will work closely with Product Management and Program Management, as well as other scrum masters in order to implement and grow the agile methodology and ensure different teams operate in a uniform manner. You will be a key resource and lead the Agile Community of Practice (CoP). You are expected to have extensive and recent hands-on experience as a scrum master and in working with multiple teams. As an experienced Scrum Master, you will be expected to provide support, coaching, and guidance on Agile/Scrum practices to the Product and Engineering teams. In addition, you will help the team to make projections about future work based on past performance. Responsibilities
Lead the organization’s Agile Community of Practice, including guiding the teams and rest of the organization on how to properly implement agile practices.
Facilitate daily stand-up, story refinement, sprint planning, sprint review and retrospective meetings.
Create and foster self-organizing and cross-functional teams.
Work with multiple scrum teams and promote consistent practices and encourage continuous improvement.
Encourage team members to adopt a continuous improvement mindset
Build a safe environment where problems can be raised without fear with an emphasis on problem solving.
Facilitate getting the work done working closely with development and cross-functional teams.
Help Product Owners ensure the product backlogs are in good shape and ready for the next sprint.
Help Product Owners on segmenting the product, story mapping and clarifying the ideas / requirements.
Partner with Product Management to facilitate long-range estimation and planning.
Assess a team’s agile maturity, and develop and implement strategies to help them grow to a higher level of agile maturity.
Work closely with different stakeholders within the organization to ensure all interdependencies and impediments are addresses by either removing impediments or guiding the team to remove them.
Assist with internal and external communication to improve transparency across the organization.
A minimum of 8 years of experience working in software development team and 5+ as a Scrum Master.
Scrum master with working experience as a scrum master and coach, who works hands on with software development scrum teams in delivering product requirements.
Certified Scrum Master
Bachelor degree in Computer Engineering or Computer Science or in any other relevant fields.
Strong knowledge of Agile development practices, methodologies and tools required and experience with agile product management software
Jira, Pivotal Tracker, etc.
Experience in driving scrum processes, risk management, tracking dependencies and conflict resolution techniques
Ability to shield the agile teams from outside distractions to meet deadlines
Experience in digital advertising technology, programmatic, TV media buying a big plus.
