Schrödinger is a science and technology leader with over 30 years of experience providing solutions for atomic-scale modeling and physics-based chemical simulations.
We’re seeking an expert in the application of atomic-scale simulation to organic electronic materials to work closely with our application science, marketing, development and sales teams. This scientist will expand our technology base and grow our business with industrial partners working on advanced display, electronic and solar technologies using organic materials; e.g. organic light-emitting diodes (OLED), organic thin film transistors (OTFT) and organic photovoltaics (OPV).
The Schrödinger platform applies first-principles simulations, molecular dynamics, and machine learning for the analysis and optimization of organic semiconductor materials and processes for optoelectronic devices. This role will involve maintaining industry awareness of materials challenges and advances in simulation techniques to inform our technology roadmap. Key activities also include meeting with customers to lead technical discussions, working with the team to demonstrate new computational methods, provide feedback on technology requirements and feature enhancements, and using our platform for organic optoelectronics case studies.
- Ph.D. in Chemistry, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, or Physics
- Expertise in the application of atomistic-level modeling to solve real-world problems
- Experience in multiple types of computational techniques to organic electronic materials
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
- Proven research track record with publications or patents
- Experience collaborating on a team of diverse scientists
- Willingness to travel to customer sites for meetings
- Understanding of organic electronics technology issues and industrial R&D via direct experience
