As Senior Commodity Buyer; MRO, this individual will be responsible for developing commodity strategies, executing and managing the Procurement process of designated commodities to reduce the total cost of ownership for goods and services while ensuring uninterrupted supply. In doing so, the Senior Commodity Buyer will be partnering with and supporting internal Functional Groups (i.e. Logistics, Manufacturing Operations, Retail Operations etc.) with their sourcing needs as well optimize and grow strategic suppliers across the enterprise.
· Assists in the development and implementation of sourcing strategies to support evolving business needs· Interacts with both suppliers and internal customers to identify, implement, and realize optimal value and performance· Provides purchasing support to all Business Units and/or functional areas to ensure Procurement representation and participation in all issues related to meeting business requirements· Monitors commodity-impacting market trends to establish insight for strategy development, execution, and risk mitigation· Provide purchasing support ensuring Procurement representation and participation in all issues related to assigned commodities· Support the identification, research and evaluation of suppliers that meet the organization's standards of price, quality, timing, service and reliability of supply· Resolves any internal or external issues related to quality, cost, delivery, etc. to minimize the risk of interrupted supply· Support the execution and management of Procurement processes for designated commodities to reduce total cost of ownership for goods & services while ensuring uninterrupted supply· Facilitate Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) efforts including strategic segmentation and supplier rationalization· Ensure supplier qualification efforts and ongoing quality management· Manage and enhance supplier performance through the establishment of KPI's/SLA's (contract content) and effective supplier and stake holder interaction· Assessing suppliers' products and service offerings to ensure compliance with specifications and performance requirements, the Sr. Commodity Buyer will facilitate the analysis and evaluation of quotations, proposals, etc.· Scope of assignment includes:· Ensuring internal & external relevant data collection· Commodity & market analysis; cost modeling & analysis· Sourcing, award, & execute across impacted Functions & Business Units· Contract administration & compliance monitoring for assigned commodities
· Bachelors required, advanced degree preferred
