The incumbent must possess sharp & sophisticated analytic thinking with demonstrated talent for identifying, scrutinizing and improving analytic models and work flow processes.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills; outstanding interpersonal skills; the ability to relate positively with individuals as all levels both internally and externally with providers, payors, consultants and vendors.
The position will support the financial reporting and analytical processes. The position requires independent thinking, resourcefulness and excellent problem solving skills.
Experience with physician practice environments, provider reimbursement, and managed care contracting is a plus.
Must have advanced Excel skills, experience using financial analysis tools such as Microsoft, SQL and/or SAS, also skills with Word, PowerPoint, Access. PeopleSoft experience is a plus. Capable of learning new tools and methodologies quickly. Ability to translate complex data sets into descriptive/executive-level presentations.
Unless otherwise required by certification, licensure, or registration, an equivalent combination of education and
experience which provides proficiency in the areas of responsibilities listed in this description may be substituted for the
minimally required education and/or experience listed in the Qualifications section noted above.
PHYSICAL AND MENTAL EFFORT:
Ability to concentrate, organizes efficiently, and independently organizes work. Physical effort involved in walking to conduct interdepartmental business. Position requires ability to occasionally lift light objects; frequently perform moderately difficult manipulative, gross body coordination and hand-eye coordination tasks; walk, stand and sit for prolonged periods; see objects closely and hear normal sounds with some background noise. Ability to frequently concentrate on fine detail with interruption and attend to tasks for more than 60 minutes at a time. Individual must be able to understand and relate to theories behind several related concepts and remember multiple tasks given over long periods of time and be able to communicate in written word using advanced written skills.
ENVIRONMENTAL AND WORKING CONDITIONS:
High level of telephone communication, computer use, and documentation requirements. Employee may constantly be exposed to electro-magnetic radiation as in CRT's (VDT's).
