Millimans Hartford Health practice is seeking professionals with strong data analytics capabilities to join our team and make an immediate impact on our business. The Healthcare Data Analytics Associate performs detailed analyses using large volumes of healthcare data including both medical and prescription drug claims information. The individual will need to possess a strong technical background while also being able to communicate findings to a wide range of audiences. The ideal candidate should be highly motivated and able to manage multiple tasks from several managers. A strong background in analytical tools such as SQL, SAS, or Python is required. Responsibilities include:
Perform detailed analyses using large healthcare data sets including data scrubbing/cleaning, aggregation, subsetting, and clustering
Evaluate claims data to create actionable insights for clients
Support actuarial pricing projects by summarizing large data sets into manageable MS Excel files
Train staff members on data analytics topics
Communicate results to project managers
Maintain quality and risk management standards for all work performed
2-3 years of healthcare analytics experience
Highly experienced with Microsoft Office including Microsoft Excel and VBA for Applications
Proficiency with data querying/analytics tools such as SQL, SAS, or Python
Strong communication skills
Experience presenting healthcare analysis results via written reports and presentations
Prior experience working with prescription drug claim data
Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau) a plus
Critical thinker and contributor to group discussions
Strong communication skills and ability to work independently and with a team
Able to adapt to changes in workflow priority
