Established, growing and financially strong Florida West Coast-based manufacturer and distributor of scientific-oriented equipment, instruments and disposables with global footprint (the Company has five wholly owned foreign sales offices) and strong product sourcing capabilities seeks an experienced Senior Director of Marketing to actively manage all traditional and digital marketing activities for the Company including a complementary e-commerce business.
The successful candidate should have an educational background (or complementary experience) in the life sciences and have direct experience in establishing and directing successful marketing plans and programs focused on the scientific community. Specific experience with academic and government funded research scientists would be beneficial and the successful candidate will need to have the ability, intellectual curiosity and desire to effectively communicate with, and influence scientists. He or she should also have a demonstrated track record of effectively using digital marketing tools and social networking to expand the Company’s touchpoints with its customers and enhance customer engagement through establishment of digital customer communities. Experience using e-commerce data analytics to drive e-commerce site traffic growth and conversion of site traffic into sales and profit growth is a definite plus.
This strategically important and highly visible position will have a certain level of entrepreneurial autonomy, a handful of direct reports, a creative and compelling compensation plan and will be a valued member of the Company’s senior management team.
