Job Overview:
The Senior Marketing Manager/Associate Director of Marketing will have overall product management responsibility for the on-market products. Working closely with internal teams, you will drive business growth directives aiming to achieve both revenue and market share targets for your assigned portfolio.
In this role, you will be responsible for development of commercial pricing strategies, contracting strategies, managing the market intelligence database, forecasting for fiscal budgets, and leading Pricing Review Committee meetings. These key functions are essential to driving the Client's commercial Business.
Responsibilities:
Sales Analysis & Trend Management
Develop generic injectable product strategy, for IDN, GPO & Customers including hospital, clinic, and retail channels.
Product management responsibility for assigned on-market products. Key responsibilities for managing these portfolios include pricing, sales trend management and contracting strategies.
Monitor product performance versus budget and provide insight and commentary on the variances to reactively drive improved product performance.
Analyze external environments and market trends to provide inputs to Supply Chain for demand planning.
Support the team's market research and competitive positioning analysis in partnership with Sales and Marketing, Sales Operations and National Accounts teams.
Commercial Pricing & Analytics
Lead Pricing Review Committee to develop strategies to address product performance issues and marketing programs to drive better performance and drive increased market share and sales.
Review on a frequent rolling basis product line pricing versus market pricing; update the pricing database and recommend product price changes as required; work with Finance, Contracting and leadership to review and agree on new price. Enforce responsible and ethical pricing.
Work with Field Sales to provide consistent surveillance on key industry trends, analyst reports and data points. Maintain the market intelligence database with competitor insights and findings.
Budget & Forecasting
Responsible for developing the financial forecast of the AuroMedics product portfolio for the annual budget and quarterly estimate process.
Lead Annual budget planning and oversee monthly budget management and coordination.
Leadership & Development
Coaching and mentoring junior members of the commercial team, through fostering a positive and collaborative environment.
Prepare career development plans for junior members of the team to promote growth and accountability with the AuroMedics culture.
Qualifications - Skills & Requirements:
Robust analytical and quantitative skills; budget management and forecasting ability required
Strong understanding of customer & competitor behavior, promotion process, product management and pricing
Strong communication skills (written & verbal), excellent financial and business acumen, as well as developed interpersonal skills
In-depth knowledge of secondary market research data platforms (i.e., IQVIA)
Excellent computer (MS Office Suite), analytical & problem-solving skills
Entrepreneurial sensibility and curiosity about the intersection of generic injectable marketing, manufacturing and the US Hospital market is essential
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Science, or Business; MBA preferred
- Demonstrate strong leadership, sound decision making, influencing, and negotiation skills
- 5-7 years of business experience minimum, preferably in Life Sciences. Generic pharmaceutical experience in product management, a strong plus
