Shamrock Trading Corporation is looking for a Senior Payroll Administrator. This position is responsible for working alongside the Payroll Manager to accurately process semimonthly pay periods and monthly commissions, record changes to tax withholdings and set up employees’ direct deposit. The Senior Payroll Administrator will focus on maintaining employee records and will work directly with HR and management to ensure accurate and timely payment processing, answer questions and resolve issues. An ideal candidate will be organized, detail-oriented and able to multitask.
- Oversee the submission of timecards into payroll each pay period
- Assist with leave of absence administration (Short-Term Disability)
- Enter new hire paperwork into ADP
- Maintain employee records and process employee changes
- Prepare monthly compensation reporting for management
- Calculate and remit life insurance options
- Prepare monthly headcount report for management
- Assist with periodic internal system audits
- Resolve any employee payroll issues
- Conduct PTO administration
- Assist with income verification for current employees and special projects
- Stay current with ADP updates
- Other duties as assigned
- 1+ years of experience in corporate payroll
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business or a related field
- Basic knowledge of ADP
- HR experience a plus
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, etc.)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment
