The Automobile Club of Southern California founded in 1900, is the nation’s largest AAA-affiliated motor club, serving millions of members in twenty-one states. Best known for emergency roadside assistance, the Auto Club also provides a wide range of products and services, including: insurance, financial, travel, automotive, and member discounts.
This position is responsible for overseeing a shift of contract security guards and ensuring completion of administrative requirements in the company’s Security Office.
Monitoring security and life safety systems.
Enforcing Auto Club policies.
Implementing emergency plans, developing guard training and managing visitor access.
Prepare written reports and documenting daily activities.
Running the badging program.
Drafting standard operating procedures and responding to security incidents.
Assisting and mentoring other security leads.
Coordinator efforts across all guard shifts.
Taking lead in coordinating guard preparation for and coverage of special events.
Monitor and audit scheduling.
High School Diploma or GED Equivalent required.
Associates Degree or higher preferred.
Minimum 5 years security work experience in a professional setting.
Experience writing technical procedures and reports.
Comfortable working under pressure and tight deadlines.
Creative thinker dedicated to quality service.
Familiar with Security policies and procedures.
Ability to assess and quickly react to emergency situations while maintaining composure and professionalism.
Ability to establish detailed, step by step procedures.
Prioritize work, take initiative, and exercise sound independent judgment.
Capable of working independently without extensive direction or oversight.
Implement technology to improve security and communications.
Strong multi tasking skills and detail oriented.
Successful completion of Auto Club pre-employment assessments, background and drug screenings.
