Position Name: Senior Software Acceptance Testing Team Leader
Location: Baltimore, Maryland (Downtown)
Hours: 8 – 5 pm (one hour lunch), after hours and weekends as required.
Employment Status: FULL TIME
Equivalent related experience or a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related scientific or technical discipline.
8-10 years of IT with at least 3 years hands-on experience in ‘manual’ software testing.
Prior experience with the software development life cycle (SDLC), especially in the analysis of software design and code development and its application to testing.
Proficient with Microsoft Windows and Office (Word, Excel, Visio, Project, Outlook).
Possess excellent oral and written skills as well as leadership skills.
Prior experience testing financial and billing applications a plus.
Experience with issue tracking software TestTrack Pro a plus.
Testing Certifications a plus (ASTQB, ISTQB).
Testing Tools a plus (e.g. Seapine).
Experience creating technical or training documentation a plus.
Supervisory skills a plus.

Develop, publish and implement testing standards and test plans.
Lead the team by developing the test plans based on team input, facilitating as needed in team meetings (e.g. providing examples of tests, schedule development, reviewing tests), providing training and assist in prioritizing issues.
Analyze requirements and the testing of systems at the component, integration, system and end-to-end levels.
Design and execute test cases/test scripts using different testing methodologies and techniques.
Ensure that all necessary tests are written and maintain test automation.
Lead and supervise the members of the team as a list of tests are defined; consolidate, document and maintain the list of tests themselves from each department; ensure that full testing coverage for conversion and functionality is achieved with the minimum of overlap between tests.
Generate test data and run tests and/or guide others in running tests.
Define and track metrics such as defects and open defect counts.
Evaluate test results and document defects.
Understand and communicate technical issues related to defects and enhancements.
Lead, supervise and schedule testing; assist in coordination of training schedules.
Assist in prioritizing issues found during testing; provide status reports.
Make a list of tests needed to ensure correct conversion and system functionality.
Provide feedback on interim software drops.
Coordinate with software developers, who will also provide delivery of the software, assist in installation of the software in the test environment and provide updated software in response to resolved issues.
Attend project review meetings and training sessions.
Document reports, specifications, requirements, guides and/or manuals. These documents will include screen prints and graphics where necessary.
