About the Opportunity
This newly created role will be part of the cross-campus Finance team, directly supporting the Director of Finance and Operations. Position will be located at Intrinsic’s Downtown campus in the loop and is year round, Monday-Friday.
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Support timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial close for each campus, as well as the consolidation of the charter network financials;
- Ensure all day-to-day accounting transactions and activities are recorded within the accounting system;
- Prepare and maintain balance sheet account reconciliations, investigating and resolving any discrepancies;
- Prepare monthly bank account reconciliations, and review daily cash drawer reconciliations from each campus to ensure accuracy;
- Posting of other cash receipts, disbursements, deposits;
- Posting of credit card payoffs and weekly credit card transaction reconciliations;
- Maintain vendor masterfile and prepare annual 1099 reports/filings;
- Assist in preparing annual audit deliverables and requests;
- Ad Hoc reporting and analysis;
- Assist with semi-monthly payroll processing and other payroll/benefit administration duties;
- Assist with various compliance deliverables;
- Additional duties or special projects as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 3 years of accounting experience,public accounting or relevant bookkeeping experience preferred
- Demonstrated technical knowledge and understanding of accounting principles, practices and regulations including FASB/GAAP and internal controls
- Able to work independently in a fast paced environment
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Able to meet deadlines, multitask, and prioritize work
- Tech savvy and proficient with accounting ERP systems and interfacing applications, Google applications, Microsoft Excel, etc
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Professional attitude, highly solutions oriented, and strong work ethic
Annual salary range - $50,000 to $65,000
