SUMMARY OF ROLE
bull; The Field Service Engineer will be executing commissioning, start-ups, calibrations, repairs, diagnostics, audits, maintenance, on call service and training for Emersonrsquo;s valves portfolio at customerrsquo;s sites in Greece and CSE Europe region.
bull; The Field Service Engineer is responsible for executing the scheduled work according to the Emerson standards of safety, ethics and quality.
SPECIFIC JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
bull; Continually identify opportunities for service/product/process improvements and plan with Sales to promote to the end user;
bull; Plan the site visits in accordance with the customer requirements, prepare and verify the required tools, materials/spare parts and safety equipment, make travel and living arrangements as required;
bull; Check site safety and work procedures and obtain the work permit;
bull; Adhere to companyrsquo;s and customerrsquo;s HSEQ standards at all times;
bull; Execute commissioning, start-ups, calibrations, repairs, diagnostics, audits, mainte-nance, configurations, on call service and training for Emersonrsquo;s valve portfolio at customerrsquo;s sites, according to Emerson Service Management Office procedures;
bull; Undertake or organise diagnostic analysis and reporting of valve condition and recommendation for maintenance based on the data collected and present findings to end user;
bull; Perform plant turnaround planning and/or management services, supporting third parties including Approved Service Partners, in order to maximize spare parts, positioner upgrades, main equipment replacement and competitor displacement opportunities;
bull; Post plant turnaround reviews with Sales, Approved Service Partners and end users to identify levels of customer satisfaction and improvements to be made to increase satisfaction further, and begin negotiation for the next shutdown;
bull; Write site/technical reports and obtain customerrsquo;s approval in due time;
bull; If required, demonstrate to client and regulatory authorities, the system compliance to specifications and regulations.
bull; Execute the requested job in the best way to meet customerrsquo;s deadlines and expectations;
bull; Communicate issues concerning customer satisfaction or customer requests for Emerson support to the responsible person in Service Management or Sales Management;
bull; Obtain and maintain personal Service Certifications and qualifications;
bull; Be able and willing to perform emergency call-out services to provide customers with fast and efficient services;
bull; Support Sales Engineers with technical solutions/details if requested;
bull; Adhere to local and international Emerson Trade Compliance procedures in connection with all transactions and business practices.
bull; Follow Emerson procedures and guidelines.
bull; Adhere to Emerson Automation Solutions Ethical values at all time.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
bull; Degree in an engineering discipline, such as automation, electrical, mechanical, computer science or control systems (minimum Technical College level)
bull; Minimum 5 years relevant experience from process industry, such as: Oil & Gas, Refineries, Chemical, Biotechnology / Pharmaceutical
bull; Good communication skills and fluency in English ndash; written and spoken
