Job Description
Shipfitters are responsible for the use of various tools and equipment in the fabrication, assemble and erection of metal parts for the construction of modular units utilized in the various stages of the building of a marine vessel.
Basic Qualifications
We are looking for individuals with prior experience in carpentry, construction, welding, structural fitting, or automotive body repair interested in a career at Ingalls Shipbuilding as a ship fitter. Also if you have completed a community college or high school carpentry, construction, fitting or welding programs we would like to talk to you.
