Site Safety Manager
Helix Electric, Inc. is considered to be one of the most successful open-shop electrical contracting companies in the nation. We are looking for bright and talented Site Safety Manager. The astute safety expert will interface with client site management, company site operations personnel, and Helix safety management team. The primary responsibility is to promote and support the Helix safety culture and process as well as providing leadership and direction to their job site. Responsibilities:
- Willing to embrace our safety culture, “We are a service oriented safety team, dedicated to supporting and helping our teams in the field”
- Knowledge of applicable regulatory requirements
- Support incident investigation process, site audits, subcontractor EH&S compliance, assist with new hire orientations, and any additional safety related tasks as assigned
- Work with and evaluate the performance of Helix operational personnel regarding regulatory issues as well as Helix corporate safety policy and protocols
- Assist in identification of safety related training needs as well as conducting safety related training
- Assist site management and supervision with close site support
- Assist in medical case management
- Assure training completions and other safety related documentation is completed and submitted as required
- Review reports for trends and make recommendations for protocol adjustments
Candidate Experience Expectations:
- OSHA 30 required; CHST preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of construction safety experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Safety or Engineering preferred, but not mandatory
- Must have exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
- Personality: Personable, detail oriented and ambitious work ethic
- Written and verbal skills must be strong
- Bilingual skills a plus (English & Spanish)
- Ability to achieve goals with a sense of urgency with minimal supervision
- Strong problem solving skills
