Supervises and instructs Social Services Staff and Baker Act Coordinator in the advanced professional care to patients in need of behavioral health care. Conducts employment interviews and hires for Social Services. Annually, evaluates therapist s clinical and professional performance. Ensures that the department staff complies with the objectives and policies of the hospital. Accountable for the smooth, effective, and efficient functioning of the department twenty-four hours a day. Coordinates Social Service Department schedule to ensure and optimize service delivery to patients. Review treatment plans and assessments for compliance. And other responsibilities as deemed necessary by administration.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS (including required licenses/certifications, education and job knowledge/experience):
Master s Degree in Social Work; licensure in Clinical Social Work required
Healthy Interventions training within one month of employment
BLS certification within one month of employment
Superior crisis intervention and assessment skills
Positive affect, demonstrated leadership and time management skills
Effective oral and written communication skills in the English language
Visual and hearing senses must be adequate to assess/detect changes in the human physiological condition
Ability to perform effectively in a fast paced, stressful environment
Pass Florida Protective Services System background check
