We are seeking a Software Developer to support Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) on the Defense Property Accountability System (DPAS). 

The Defense Property Accountability System (DPAS) is a Department of Defense (DoD) property management system. It is the Accountable Property System of Record (APSR) for over 32 DoD Agencies and Military Services. DPAS contains four modules, Property Accountability, Maintenance & Utilization, Warehouse Management, and Materiel Management. This program is administered by the DLA Logistics Catalog and Data Solutions (LCDS), a Portfolio of the Information Operations of the Defense Logistics Agency.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assist systems analysts and/or designers in researching and documenting computer user requirements; Analyzes objectives and problems identified by analysts and/or designers; Translates the solutions provided by systems designers into detailed program specifications; Assists with preparation of documentation for other programmers, users of the system and other support services workers; Assists with program design activities including definition of data and error message arrangements; Assists with the modification and documentation of program code to correct errors or to enhance an application’s capabilities; Assists with the testing of applications; and assists with the preparation of reports on the status, operation and maintenance of system software applications for use by the customer

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Undergraduate degree, Associates degree, or 2 years’ equivalent experience in applications programming. Must have a minimum of 2 years’ experience that is directly related to the following duties and responsibilities. Assists with the management, development, testing and maintenance of computer programs to ensure that the application meets the needs of the users of the system.

• Relevant certification from a nationally recognized technical authority.

The candidate shall be experienced with the following tools and technologies:

• ASP.NET Model View Controller (MVC) or ASP.NET Web Forms

• Entity Framework/LINQ

• Web Services/Windows Communication Foundation (WCF)

• SQL Server 2014+ and Transact-SQL (T-SQL)

• HTML, CSS, Javascript and jQuery

• XML and JSON

• Microsoft Visual Studio

• Microsoft Team Foundation Server (TFS)

• React/React Native experience for mobile app development
