Software Engineer II at Kforce

Kforce has a client in search of a Software Engineer II in San Diego, California. (CA)Essential Duties:

• Candidate will support team efforts through creation and refinement of system requirements, solutioning and implementation, developing and executing test plans, adding to functional automation suites, and evaluating non-functional requirements (accessibility, performance, security, etc.)

• Driving the development of design and test solutions/strategies (10%), implementing system requirements (30%)

• Developing automated tests (30%)

• Performing manual testing (10%)

• Triaging test failures

• Adding to automation tooling (10%)

• Executing plans with a variety of toolsets (10%)

• This is subject to change depending on team and project needs

• The ideal candidate is deeply proficient in back-end Java technologies

Experience with front-end JavaScript technologies is a plus. The following languages, libraries, and tools (or equivalent) are must haves:

• Java 8

• Maven

• JUnit

• TestNG or equivalent

The following are great additions:

• Python

• AWS Lambda

• JavaScript 2016

• HTML / CSS / Sass (or equivalent)

• React / Redux or similar

• Selenium / WebDriver

• Source Control Management (Git or other)

• JavaScript Test Automated Tools/Libraries (Mocha, Chai, Other)

• Jenkins

• Jira

Additionally, the candidate has experience with (in order of importance):

• A proven track record of defining, automating, and executing test plans

• Functional testing experience

• Strong understanding of the SDLC

• Experience with non-functional software requirements

• Fundamentals in software design, networking, security, and performance
