JOB REQUIREMENTSWork experience with one of the following companies is a plus! Such as: Saic, IBM, BAE, Booz Allen Hamilton, Northrop Grumman, KEYW, Lockheed, Raytheon, General Dynamics, CSC, Boeing, Palantir, Software AG, FGM, Google, Microsoft, Oracle.
Candidates must have extensive experience in developing web applications and querying databases.
Experience with Apache and Apache Tomcat server in Linux (Ubuntu, Redhat/CentOS) environments.
Utilization of distributed databases such as Apache SOLR and writing queries using MapReduce to access information.
Experience designing and creating a data driven environment using distributed database environments and open source, particularly NoSQL databases.
Experience designing or developing end-to-end systems (from ingesting source data to presenting it to a user), particularly if there was some component of real-time, mission criticality, high reliability etc.
Experience using Amazon EC2 Web Services and/or Rackspace Cloud environments
Understanding of general networking concepts (TCP, sockets, HTTP as a transport layer, SSL, etc)
Understanding of enterprise networking concepts (DNS, TCP, Firewalls, Proxy Servers)
Understanding of entity extraction solutions and associated architectures.
Experience designing, writing, optimizing, or debugging algorithms of any description.
Any data mining experience, eg handling large amounts of data, basic statistical techniques.
Working in a AGILE SCRUM environment.
