Fifth Group Restaurants, Atlanta’s most respected restaurant company, is opening a new Alma Cocina in Buckhead, featuring Elevated Mexican Dishes with Chef Clevenger's signature style, Alma Cocina Buckhead promises to become an icon on Peachtree Road. We are in search of a talented and passionate Sous Chef to join the team and help open this restaurant. This individual will exude pride in culinary excellence and in the practice of sound, profitable management techniques and will manage from Fifth Group company values, mission and purpose while making decisions with the long-term success of the company in mind.
Overall responsibilities include performing duties necessary to operate organized, well-managed shifts, ensure consistent and high quality food and maximize the profitability and organizational stability of the unit.
In addition to excellent culinary knowledge and casual fine dining experience, in-depth responsibilities evolve from the following areas: Financial, Management, Food and Front and Back of House Operations, Human Resources and in general.
Basic responsibilities include:
- Expediting, ordering, food costing, menu development/management/execution
- Interviewing and hiring/development/training/evaluation/relations/scheduling staff
- Managing inventory and waste
- Managing equipment performance and chemicals management
- Managing budget costs
- Engaging appropriate guest interaction and relationship development
- Participating in community events
- Performing tasks and entering data in systems utilizing basic computer knowledge
