This is a Full-time Day position on our Enterprise Support Team (WEST) and this opportunity offers PREMIUM PAY and a comprehensive benefits package. The selected Speech Language Pathologist will support the Workforce Management Rehabilitation Float Team and is required to float between multiple Wellstar hospitals depending on individual departments’ needs on a day to day basis. This opportunity offers flexible self-scheduling and varied work environments.
This position enables the therapist to maintain a comprehensive skill competency and play a vital role in the delivery of World Class care to our patients at WellStar. In this region, this position would float to WellStar Hospital locations including Atlanta Medical Center, Atlanta Medical Center South and Douglas Hospital.
The speech language pathologist evaluates patients and develops the speech/language plan of care in the areas of speech, language, voice, cognition and swallowing in collaboration with the physician. Services are provided across the full continuum and rendered in a cost conscious, quality focused and customer-oriented manner. Compliance with all applicable regulatory standards is also required in this role.
Required Minimum Education, Licensure/Certification and Experience for this position:
- Graduate from an accredited speech-language pathology program. Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Current licensure as a speech-language pathologist in the state of Georgia.
- 2 years recent pertinent experience in an acute care setting with a focus in Inpatient Rehab and Acute Care Adult/Geriatric patient populations as a Speech Language Pathologist.
- Effective communication skills, customer service focused, team oriented, and basic computer skills, experience with EPIC, experience with rendering service in a productivity driven environment.
