CBS Interactive is looking for a highly-motivated M.B.A. or college student looking to gain experience in the area of digital media business development. You will be a part of a team that supports the CBS Sports Digital business including CBS Sports sites and apps, CBS Sports HQ, our live streaming sports news network, 247Sports, SportsLine, Scout and MaxPreps. We are looking for someone with a passion for the sports industry and a strong interest in learning about the strategy, partnerships, and business deals that fuel our digital business. You must have excellent communication skills, a willingness to take on a range of challenges and enjoy a fast paced work environment.
This intern will support the Business Development team in day-to-day operations including, but not limited to:
Research and analysis of the competitive landscape in a variety of markets
Participation in partnership discussions and evaluation
Provide support in the review of partnership proposals that includes formulating recommendations
Assess current business models and assist in developing strategy and identifying new innovative paths to pursue
- Time commitment: part-time, 20 hours per week during our regular office hours (Monday - Friday, 8:30 am - 5:30 pm) but times may vary per team
- This is a paid internship and can also be for university credit if it meets your university's guidelines
A self-starter who can multitask effectively
Proactive, organized, detail-oriented and able to follow detailed instructions
Passionate about the sports industry and digital media
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong organizational and time management skills
Ability to work at least 20 hours per week
Ability to prioritize and balance multiple projects
Proficiency in MS Office Suite and/or G Suite
Proven ability to meet deadlines
- Intern must be a student currently enrolled in an accredited college or university
- Must be at least 18 years old
