HP Unified Functional Testing (UFT) tool and the Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) tool to allow teams within Code I to accomplish functional testing of their applications. We are having issues getting these tools to install and function correctly. We specifically need these tools working for our Ecommerce team on desktops and laptops. We are currently working with version 12.02. The software appears to install successfully but when the tools open they immediately close down. So far we have not been successful with getting these tools to work correctly.
Based on the specific installation, requires professional services to perform troubleshooting and repair to the UFT, ALM, Sprinter and Loadrunner test tools to obtain a successful installation and working functionality. The Professional services will include:
•Configure compatible and stable versions of ALM, UFT, Sprinter and Loadrunner on five Vendor VM’s and five GFE laptops used by the Ecommerce and ORUP teams. The GFE devices are in the NEX-AD (Prod) environment and the vendor VM’s are in the NEXAD-LAB (Non-Prod) environment.
•Configure to allow users to import and export test cases from MS Excel into ALM.
•Ensure that existing test cases from the current versions of UFT, Sprinter and Loadrunner are compatible with ALM in the environments.
•Configure UFT to support the following browsers when running and recording tests:
oInternet Explorer 8.0 or higher
oSafari version 11.0
oChrome version 56.0
oMozilla Firefox version 59.0
Unified Functional Testing (UFT) provides an advanced automated testing solution for building functional and regression tests by simulating a single user performing a task on an application under test. The automated tests can be executed and managed from within the Quality Center application.
Application Lifecycle Management for Quality Center (ALM/QC) application is used to centrally manage testing assets. ALM is a secure Web-based test management tool that serves as the repository for organizing, managing and reporting for all phases of the software testing process. ALM allows for a more effective and efficient application testing process and supports a high level of communication and collaboration. ALM is the heart of the TCOE by providing a central point of control for testing assets in a repository that can easily be accessed, updated and used for reporting. ALM supports requirements definition and management, release and cycle management, test planning and scheduling, defects management and reporting.
LoadRunner (LR) is a performance and load testing product for examining system behavior and performance, while generating actual load. LoadRunner is composed of three different modules/tools:
*Virtual User Generator (VuGen)
HP’s ALM/QC application integrates with Unified Functional Testing (UFT), and houses Loadrunner/VuGen/Controller scripts and scenarios. Unified Functional Testing and LoadRunner are utilized for automated testing and any manual tests that are repeated or frequently used.
The following are inclusive of the professional services to be provided by Contractor:
