This position will report into our Global Supply Chain Team and will be accountable for managing Microchip’s FTD Division’s Sync Business Procurement Functions. The objective of our Supply Chain Team is to establish, maintain/ improve supply continuity, quality and cost as it relates to products and services. (Key Measurements: Inventory, On-time delivery, quality &, Cost)
Processes purchase requisitions, purchase change orders and requests for quotes to suppliers. (Includingthe management / execution for outsourced manufacturing partnersand their services)
Participates in maximizing the procurement teams' changes, part parameters; quote table
maintenance, supplier database information, error report analysis, and part number/supplier
Recommend cost saving proposals including alternative sourcing with approval of team
Works closely with Engineers, Commodity and Transformation managers to support all
procurement and vendor negotiations on lead-time and cost
Process Returns to Vendor (RTV) for all SYNC procured products
Manage and maintain item master/organization attributes for assigned products
Generate amaster workbench schedule to drive material plan at the CM, tracks progress of production and reviews factors that affect schedules.
Generate / Maintain work orders to support production needs for all Configured Product
Process returns for non-conforming materials received at any production site within
Microchip FTD products
Resolves accounts payable / receivable discrepancies for any / items assigned.
Resolves delivery/receiving discrepancies for any / all items assigned
Remains current on economic, industrial and other trends that affect market and prices
Strong Interpersonal Skills
Working knowledge of miniaturized mechanical and electro-mechanical technology
- < >Computerized manufacturing systems and ERP / MRP experience
5+ years direct Procurement industry experience
3+ years direct Master Scheduling industry experience
- Proven planning, organizational and communication skills
- Proficient in the use Microsoft Office software (specifically Excel)
- Demonstrated analytical, verbal, and written communication skills
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business / Engineering or equivalent work experience
- US citizen or permanent resident
Oracle Experience is preferred
APICS certification including CPIM, CFPIM, or the CSCP is preferred
Project Management Certification
Lean Six Sigma / Green Belt is preferred
