The project will involve numerous cross-functional teams as well as several vendor organizations. The Project Director is responsible, and accountable, for aligning teams, allocating resources, and monitoring and controlling project execution in order to realize successful results.Essential Duties/ResponsibilitiesServe as the main point of contact regarding day-to-day operational issues for the project.Report directly to the Steering Committee.Participate and facilitate PMO meetings.Manage the development and finalization of the following Project Manager documents: 1. Executive Vision and Summary, 2. Project Governance Plan 3. Project Roadmap Updates and Quarterly Roadmaps 4. Work Plans and Schedules 5. PMO Sprint Completion Status Reports 6. Project Budget & Cost Report 7. Monthly Risk ReportEducation and ExperienceSuccessfully managed three or more IT project(s) with a budget of at least $10 million in IT application development services, at least a two years in durationCurrent Project Management Professional (PMP) credential from the ProjectManagement Institute.An understanding of and experience with iterative information system development methodologies.A minimum of 15 years of project management experience in the public sector.A minimum of 10 years of hands on experience using project management methodologies and associated tools and metrics.A minimum of five (5) years of experience in managing systems architecture development and implementation projects.Experience implementing process excellence approaches based on industry standards (i.e. CMMI, PMBOK)Lewis Fowler is an affirmative action, equal opportunity employer.
