We are looking for a Sr. Director of Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) who will be responsible for leading the environmental, operational, and construction safety programs for one of the industry's largest and globally distributed datacenter portfolios. This is a highly influential, senior management position reporting to the Sr. Director of Cloud Infrastructure Security, Safety and Governance. As Sr. Director, you will ensure that we maintain an international reputation for regulatory compliance and commitment to environmental, operational, and construction safety. **Responsibilities** Create and drive the vision, mission, and long term strategies for the environmental, operational, and construction safety programs; Lead a team of subject matter experts in environmental and operations and construction safety disciplines; Represent the EHS program to Microsoft executives; Manage key internal stakeholder partnerships to implement joint projects and provide business insight on EHS governance, risk management, and controls; Globally manage and develop external strategic relationships with industry trade groups and non-governmental entities regarding compliance and safety; Effect change by driving appropriate action plans to address issues and underlying risks and ensure continuous improvement; Identify and monitor KPIs and other key metrics that demonstrate continuous process improvement in the EHS discipline; Demonstrate world class leadership and people management skills; and Raise the knowledge of the group through training and continuous professional development. **Qualifications** Demonstrated experience in managing global EHS programs and associated budgets for large organizations preferably in the technology or critical infrastructure industries; Experience in the successful implementation and championing of environmental and health and safety regulatory and sustainability requirements; Proven track record of successfully influencing others, including executives and other senior leaders; Highly developed oral and written communication skills with the ability to deliver controversial messages to senior management; Demonstrated ability to lead through a position of influence; MS in occupational safety and health, chemical or environmental engineering, or related field desired; 10+ years of hands-on experience in the environmental health and safety field leading large geographically diverse teams; and Current knowledge of federal and state regulatory safety codes and standards such as OSHA/EPA and other non-regulatory safety standards along with some experience with global regulations and standards.
